  • 1 – 2″ humidity dome
  • 2 – units of wheatgrass soil mix
  • 2 – 10×20 flats w/o holes
  • 2 – 10×20 flats w holes
  • 2 – cups wheatberries
  • Wheatgrass in a Box instructions

Day 1: Soaking Wheatberries
Soak wheatberries in a solution of Earth Tonic and Water.

Day 2: After soaking for 12- 24 hours,  strain the solution and rinse under fresh running water. This will help decrease mold presence during growing.

Leave the wheatberries in the same bowl for a 24 hour period until the root tip begins to emerge. Spray the wheatberries with mist to retain moisture.

Day 3: Planting

Nest one of the 10×20 flats with holes into one of the 10×20 trays without holes. Add a quart of water and one teaspoon of Earth Tonic to the bottom tray. Fill top tray with Wheat Grass Soil Mix. The trays are a reservoir and the soil mix will absorb the water/Earth Tonic solution.

Spread the sprouted wheatberries evenly over the soil. Use a mixture of water and Earth Tonic to mist the wheatberries heavily upon planting. Keep the germinating soil moist until the plants have established themselves and you can see the green growth.

Choose a will lit home for the wheatgrass. Wheatgrass needs access to plenty of good light. A well lit windowsill or T5 florescent light is ideal.

Place the 2″ humidity dome on the flat. This will help retain moisture for the growing plants When the Wheatgrass reaches 1.5″ tall the humidity dome can be removed.

Days 4-7:
Allow wheatgrass to grow undisturbed, misting at least once a day.

Day 8-14:
Water wheatgrass directly from the bottom reservoir and do not allow the tray to dry out. Grass should be 6-7″ high before juicing. The taller the grass is, the more juice it will yield.
